After a slow start to the 2011 crop season due to very wet weather, Ontario Potato Farmers are seeing their hard work pay off! Early crops are looking great and will soon be ready for harvest.

Heavy Rainfall Creates Challenges...

Planting for the 2011 Crop Year is underway in some parts of Ontario, however, heavy rainfall in most of the Province is creating a challenge for growers to stay on schedule. In general, planting is running 7-10 days behind normal. It is hopeful that good weather in June will help the crop catch up.
