When in Canada, do as the Turkish do and have a potato with all
the fixin’s.
Turkish Kumpir:
Bake potato as usual and slice in half lengthwise, but not
completely, leaving the bottom of the potato skin in tact. Sprinkle
low-fat cheese and salt onto the potato and add items like green
or black olives, peas, mushrooms, bits of sausage or corn to dress it.
There isn’t really a method to Kumpir, it’s what you think
tastes good, so go ahead and get creative. |
